But in consulting, listening is essential \u2014 to generate solutions, to guide direction, and to develop strategies.
In that process, I\u2019ve come to understand listening as a layered skill: it involves curiosity, patience, silence, and creating space. And in coaching, I\u2019ve seen how those layers deepen \u2014 how sometimes, even without saying a single word, a powerful connection can be formed.<\/p>\n

A Leader\u2019s True Investment: Staying Present<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cWhat time is the next meeting?\u201d, \u201cI already have a suggestion for this issue,\u201d \u201cI need to leave before traffic gets bad,\u201d or \u201cWhat should I buy for that birthday this weekend?\u201d Thoughts like these can cloud the real value of communication.<\/p>\n
