Most coaching stays at the surface: what the client says they want, what they believe about themselves, what they are willing to examine consciously. Beneath that conscious layer, a system runs every night — processing fears, testing possibilities, surfacing wisdom the rational mind filters out. Dreams are the subconscious mind's most direct communication channel. Most coaches have no idea how to work with them.
This 30-hour ICF CCE program teaches the symbolic language of dreams within the Integral Coaching™ framework. Not dream interpretation as psychology — dream facilitation as coaching methodology. When a client brings a dream, and within that dream lives the exact tension, the exact aspiration, the exact fear that weeks of conscious conversation had not reached, the coaching conversation shifts. The Integral Institute built this program by integrating Jungian dream frameworks into professional coaching methodology, refined through thousands of real coaching sessions in multiple countries since 2004.
The Two Modules
Module 1: Foundations of Dream Coaching (2 days)
Definitions and consciousness stages. The subconscious in coaching — why it matters and how to access it ethically. Symbolic language: how dreams communicate through metaphor, archetype, and narrative. Active listening adapted for dream content. ICF coaching competencies applied to dreamwork. Practice with case dream material in a safe, structured container.
Module 2: Deep Practice and Integration (2 days)
Advanced exploration of dream messages and recurring patterns. Group dreamwork practice with live facilitation. Dreams in times of transition and crisis — when they are most powerful and most needed. Making dreamwork a natural part of practice, not a separate technique bolted on. Ethics and boundaries: when dreamwork fits coaching and when it belongs in therapy.
